Ibrahim Koura
Ibrahim Koura provides consulting services which reflect his extensive experience of most aspects of financial, business development, marketing and general management processes. These include: capital expense control and appraisal; development and management of I.T. systems; budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning; financial reporting (US standards); administration and negotiation of management contracts; feasibility forecasts; operations and marketing reviews; management reporting; business development and hotels projects appraisal.
He brings to his clients unique experience of hotel pre-opening, having participated in the pre-opening and opening of more than 14 hotels in the Middle East and Europe. His recent experience is in the field of asset management, operational review and management contract negotiations. Additionally, he offers clients expert witness services, having recently provided expertise at two arbitration cases with the ICC.
Ibrahim is an international manager with more than 40 years' experience in the hotel industry. During this time, he has acquired experience in many disciplines in the hotel industry. With ITT Sheraton Corporation, Ibrahim was based in Europe and the Middle East for more than 25 years, holding management and executive positions in finance and operations. He participated the due diligence process that led to the acquisition of Ciga Hotels and was involved in the negotiation of management contracts. In 1996, he joined Radisson SAS Hotels Worldwide where, for three years, he held the post of director of business development for the Middle East and other areas and was involved in the negotiation of at least 30 management contracts. Later, he worked for the National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels in Abu Dhabi as director of hotels operations and business development in charge of six hotels. For more than eight years, he has held the post of director of hotels operations and business development with Almulla Group in Dubai with responsibility for four large hotels - three operated by third-party management companies under different brands, one franchise managed directly by him, and one under construction.
Ibrahim is a truly international executive comfortable in different cultures and environments. He has worked in many countries including Egypt, Iran, United Kingdom, Belgium, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Morocco, Italy, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
Now based in Brussels (Belgium), he is a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce at the University in Cairo where he majored in Finance and Accounting. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
