Welcome to the autumn edition of our newsletter for clients and friends. As always, we have some really interesting articles for you in this issue. Ones that will intrigue you, challenge you and from which you will learn.
As regular readers will notice (and we have a distribution of close to 1,750 now around the world) we've gone through a rebranding this summer and this newsletter, our website and all our e- and printed materials have been refreshed to reflect the new logo. We have brought our image up to date whilst also retaining the essentials of the brand - a reflection of the rainbow coalition of talent that make up the associates of Hotel Solutions Partnership, the spectrum of solutions available to you through the team, and a sense of the energy and excitement that the team brings. We are grateful to the team at Creative Heads that has led us through this process.
Not only have we re-launched the website, but it now carries a full description of each and every associate; we describe the value they could bring to you and set out in case studies how they have contributed as solo consultants or as team members in delivering strategic advantage for other hotel clients.
We are delighted to welcome three new associates. Two are based in Asia where so much hotel development is today focused. Ladies first. South African Deidre Renniers is an interior designer in Singapore with an impressive track record of achievement for hotel and other clients. By comparison, Niall Murray, Irish via the USA, is based in Macao, where he has been providing consulting for some time to clients with mega resorts that include casinos. By comparison, Petra Deuter is based in Prague. Her extensive executive experience& includes a period in Buenos Aires. Her area of expertise is focused on creating excellence in sales and marketing in branded businesses and in the change process that is so often associated with delivering excellence. Each of Deidre, Petra and Niall bring new areas of experience to Hotel Solutions but all three also reflect in their work and their approach to clients and fellow associates those essential values that form the cornerstones of our approach to hotel consulting.
And all this change is just the start. After seven successful years, The Hotel Solutions Partnership is going through a significant metamorphosis and in later Hotelmatters we will be letting you in on more of the changes that we have in the pipeline.
If you or your business partners could make use of the talent that is assembled in this team to move your business forward, please contact us. We'd be happy to help you think through how we might work with your team to build your hotel business.
Until then, grab a coffee and enjoy our articles.

Meet us at the shows
We are delighted to have been asked by the organizers of this week’s THE PROPERTY INVESTOR & OPP LIVE SHOW partner with them in a hotel and resort day. If you are one of the visitors or exhibitors to the show you'll have the chance of listening to four of the team giving their expert opinion on the hotel aspects of resort development and operation; and later we'll be offering a limited number of clinics to attendees. Later this month, Miguel Ruano will be at the International Hotel Conference in Venice and next month Ian Graham and Mike Wrigley will be at the BAHA Conference and Exhibition in London
We looking forward to seeing you there.
Customer loyalty
Ian Graham (Principal)This last twelve months has been by
far the busiest so far for Hotel Solutions Partnership. We are grateful to our clients.
How do we measure success?
Well first and foremost through the impact the team brings to each client. One key indication that we've acieved this is repurchase of our services by existing clientsOur website continues to list a complete list of assignments and case studies.
So don't take our word for it. Look through what we've achieved for others and ask yourself, "I wonder if......"The secret life of the grown up brain
Ian Graham (Principal)
A recent book I came across written and researched by Barbara Strauch states "As we age, our brains power up, not down, and use more of themselves to solve problems". Research shows that although we are not as quick as we were, and yes we do tend to lose our keys, we’re also reaping the benefits of neuro-plasticity (physical improvements to our grey matter courtesy of experience), myelin build up (which boosts processing power) and bilateralisation (the ability to use both sides of the brain at once when facing thorny problems). These finding may have promising implications of the hiring and management of middle aged workers – and experienced consultants such as those in the Hotel Solutions Partnership network.
